COMMUNITY SERVICE

As each has received a gift, us it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace

Each and every person in Kindred Spirit has been blessed with the gift of musical ability, specifically in the vocal domain. We use our voices to sing praises to our God while we minister to others through our music. We are called to serve others through our music, which is why community service is very important to us.

In the future we hope to expand our service to the community, but in the meantime we are involved with:

ACORN GLEN

Acorn Glen is an assisted living residence near the Princeton campus. We love to visit the wonderful folks who live in Acorn Glen to sing for and with them as well as to chat with them. By far, performing at Acorn Glen is one of the highlights of each semester. After every performance we always look forward to the next time we can visit!

PRINCETON YOUNG ACHIEVERS

Princeton Young Achievers, or PYA, is an after-school program for low-income children, assisting in academic performance and English language skills. We love getting to visit the kids and perform for them! We especially love getting to teach them about the joy of making music, and how you can do so, even without instruments!

STONE HILL CHURCH – SUNDAY SCHOOL AND AWANA

Many of our members attend Stone Hill Church, a local church in Princeton. We love to give back by spending time with the Sunday School and AWANA kids, and sharing our music with them. The younger kids love to sing and dance with us! We also take the opportunity to talk to the older kids about things like college, living the Christian life as you get older, and about career ambitions. It’s a joy to serve these kinds in this way.

We’d love to share our joy, music, and love of Christ with you as well! We’d love to discuss possible service opportunities with you. Please be sure to fill out your information below with a brief message, and we’ll be in contact with you shortly! Alternatively, you can contact our Business Manager, Warren Shepherd, at ws8433@princeton.edu

Music is often inspired by the things people see, so it can be a good idea to visit NJ LASIK doctors if you want to figure out ways to enhance your eyesight.
